The
Commandery of the Winged Serpent is an operative magical body,
conducting traditional Aurum Solis studies and practices and
encouraging serious research into the Ogdoadic Tradition of the Western
Mysteries. The House was first established by Melita Denning and
Osborne Phillips in the early 1980’s in Minneapolis/St. Paul MN, as a
Commandery of the Aurum Solis / O.S.V. The Winged Serpent was dormant
from 1987 until it was re-established in 1999 by authority of the Grand
Master of the Aurum Solis, with William Stoltz as its Master. It
is a vehicle of the Divine Alchemy, committed to the ideals of the
Great Work and the manifestation of the potential and vitality of the
Glorious Star of Regeneration. Now the Grand Commandery of the Ordo
Astrum Sophiae, the Winged Serpent, led by William Stoltz the Grand
Master of the Order, is located in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

THE COMMANDERY OF ALBION
The
United Kingdom, Ireland and Greater Europe
On June 21st 2009, the Chiefs of The House of Thoth of Malvern England were granted the status for a Full and Sovereign Commandery, The Commandery of Albion, of the Ordo Astrum Sophiae.
The Chiefs of the Commandery of Albion, for their quality of Life, Learning and Dedication to the Ogdoadic Mysteries of the Western Esoteric Tradition, are fully authorized to transmit the degrees and teachings of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Halls of the Ogdoadic Mysteries in accordance with the tradition and constitution of the Ordo Astrum Sophia. This, under special provisions, also permits said Commandery and House, to perform 3rd Hall workings exclusive to the vitality and mysteries of the Stella Gloriosa and to establish associate Houses in accordance with the O.A.S. Constitution.
The United Kingdom and Ireland
Nestled in the Malvern Hills, the House of Thoth is pleased to celebrate the Ogdoadic Mysteries of the Astrum Sophia in Britain. Initiates perform weekly group rites as well as other scheduled group workings. The House is currently empowered to transmit the First and Second Hall rites of initiation. The Chiefs of the House come from diverse magical traditions, having studied with different groups and teachers in the UK as well as on the Continent before finding the Ogdoadic Path.
The House of Thoth is committed to the ideals of Regeneration and the manifestation of the Glorious Star, and invites dedicated seekers to join them on their quest. THE HOUSE OF ABRAXAS

The House of Abraxas, formerly named The Fellowship of the House of Abraxas, is a group of Ogdoadic initiates based primarily out of the Pacific Northwestern United States. Its roots dating back to organizations founded in the late 90s, the initiates of the Fellowship of Abraxas began their formal association with the Ogdoadic tradition under the Order Aurum Solis in 2001, and have continued to operate under the auspices of the Grand Commandery of the Astrum Sophia. This House is committed to the advancement of the Ogdoadic Tradition and the work of the Glorious Star. Contact and workings are offered in Seattle, Washington and Eugene, Oregon.

THE CITADEL OF ADOCENTYN

The Citadel of Adocentyn is a small working group dedicated to the study and pursuit of the Mysteries of Knowledge and Regeneration. The SRF was the inner
body of an antiquarian society from which the Aurum Solis was formed.
THE GUILD OF THE BLAZING WHEEL
The Guild of the Blazing Wheel embodies the functional workings of an inner and reconstituted body of the Order Astrum Sophiae. The Guild therefore expresses itself by and through the Third Hall rites of the Temenos of the Adepti and the rites of the Telesterion of the Adepti. This series of five initiatory rites, and corresponding curriculum, form a vital body of degrees and study within the Third Hall proper. The transmission of these rites must always follow their proper sequence and only be conferred on an adept who has received the Rite of Elevation via the Palingenesis.
George K. Stanton
George K. Stanton, a senior member of the Societas Rotae Fulgentis along with Charles Kingsgold, constituted the Aurum Solis in 1897. He was the first Warden (Grand Master) of the Order.
